Design 2004

Wine fair, Oinorama 2004, Athens

Food fair Detrop 2005, Thessaloniki

The design aimed at creating a stand that would be able to question the conventional product presentation such as windows or shelves. The stand was perceived as a single continuous furniture/sculpure stretching along a dark background, and is composed by three main parts.

The first is the tallest part of the stand, an enclosed area acting as a storage space for the exhibitor. This "unfolds" downwards to the wine-tasting area at the centre of the stand, which incorporates a bar topped with an illuminated frosted glass. In the third part of the composition the surface turns horizontally, functioning as the stand's meeting table.

The visitor approaching for the degustation process, discovers the visual, informative material which is presented in backlit strips of plexiglas incorporated into the construction.

The predominant material is wood in its natural color and it is used as a reference to the traditional wine-ageing unit; the barrel.

The stand got the award “best stand” in Detrop 2005.
