Design  - Construction 2006

Layout design of a wine fair's entrance space. Hanging panels/ curtains made of wicker branches were used as corridors in order to channel the crowds towards the reception desk, and organize their movement in and out of the fair's main exhibition areas. The see-through quality of the material helped the visitors retain a general understanding of the space, thus allowing them to orientate effortlessly. Furthermore, the warmth and plasticity of the natural material provided a deliberate contrast with the scale and austerity of the neo-classical venue in which the wine fair took place.
